Lilly Pulitzer Valentine's Day Collection (and Other New Items) Try On

Hi everyone!  Today I'm sharing some real life pictures and fit reviews of some items from the new Lilly Pulitzer Valentine's Day collection.  This is the first time in a while that Lilly Pulitzer has made a true Valentine's Day print, which is really exciting!  Below the Valentine's Day items, I'll add a few other newer items I tried on while I was in the store.

This Shawn top fits just like the other Shawn Tops I've tried on.  I'd say that it is true to size in general, but you may want to size up if you have very broad shoulders or a larger bust.  I was surprised at how thin this fabric feels, but even though this top is not lined, it is not see-through at all.
How cute is the hidden critter in this print?!?

This Nichola Maxi Dress is a great option for chillier weather with its long sleeves!  I think this dress is very similar to the Sloan dress, just with sleeves added.  I took my normal size.  If you've never tried a Sloan Maxi, this fabric is rayon spandex jersey, so it definitely has some stretch to it.

This velour chemise is so comfortable!  The velour is extremely soft and very, very stretchy.  I took my normal size, but I could easily have sized down because the fabric is so stretchy (it would just be more form-fitting).  I absolutely love all of the cute Valentine's Day details in this print!

This Elaine Velour Robe is lightweight, but soft and comfortable.  It's the exact same velour fabric as the chemise above, so they match perfectly.  If you're looking for a soft robe but not Valentine's Day themed, it also comes in Swizzle In - see my late fall try on post for a real life picture of the (gorgeous!) Swizzle In version of this robe.

This dress could be great for fans of a more flowy cut, not a form-fitting cut like some of the shifts.  I took my normal size in this dress.  It is silk, so there is no give to the fabric.  Even though the body is flowier, I could not have sized down because the silk would have been too tight across my shoulders and on my arms.

I loved this beautiful maxi dress!  The flounce sleeves and hem detail are really cute in person.  One thing to note is that the top part is really really low cut, so people with large busts may have to add a cami underneath to feel more comfortable with the amount of cleavage showing.  This is my normal size.  If you are between sizes, you could probably go with the smaller size because it's a true wrap dress, so there is some wiggle room.

I think that this Melli Dress has a flattering neckline, and I love the pattern detail around the top.  The material feels the same (or very similar) to the material of Sophie dresses - very stretchy, but also potentially clingy.  I'd say that it is true to size.

This Gail Shift Dress has been out for a while, but I had not gotten a chance to try it on until recently.  The purple and gold brocade fabric is absolutely gorgeous in person.  My store did not have my size, so I tried on one size up from normal.  I actually did like how the size up fit on me.  I probably could have done my normal size, but it may have been a little tight/very fitted because this particular fabric and cut are not very generous.

The Waverly Top is a favorite staple of mine because even though I love the show-stopper dresses, tops like this are what I wear much more often.  This top is stretchy jersey.  This picture is of my normal size in general, but I do usually size down in the Waverly Top.
