Shiloh One Piece Swimsuit ($158) and 5" Buttercup Stretch Shorts in Prosecco Pink ($64)
This swimsuit is adorable in person! I took the same size as I wear in other Lilly Pulitzer one piece swimsuits. For reference - I size up one size in the one pieces because I have a long torso, and Lilly Pulitzer one pieces in my normal size are too short top to bottom. A plus for this one piece - it's not quite as low cut as some of the other Lilly Pulitzer one pieces (see below!). I grabbed these shorts on a whim, but they are a perfect match and look super cute with this swimsuit.
In my opinion, this swimsuit runs just like the Jaspen from last year. As mentioned above, I usually size up one size in all Lilly Pulitzer one pieces for extra length, and this swimsuit is no exception. These South Ocean High Rise Shorts weren't an exact match for this swimsuit, but they would match other items out now. I took my normal Lilly Pulitzer shorts size in these. Like the name says, they are *really* high rise. I'm not used to shorts with a rise that's longer than the inseam!
I absolutely love this coverup! It's so light and breezy. I tried to show the fabric in the close-up picture above - it's almost like a tight-knit mesh. This is my normal size. You can't tell from the picture, but it's slightly sheer because of the material, so I would not recommend buying this one to wear as a dress.
This dress is so pretty - totally different from a lot of other Lilly Pulitzer prints. It feels like similar material to the Sloan Maxi, although I would say that the section right under the bust is a little tighter than it is on the Sloan Maxi. One thing to note is that the V is very deep. I personally would probably go with the next size up and have a seamstress add another snap to make the V neck not as deep.
The Jane Shift Dress is a nice staple that can be dressed up or be more casual. The zipper down the front can be adjusted higher or lower, and the dress has a fairly forgiving, flowy line. A lot of people size down in the Jane, but I take my normal size for more room in the shoulders/neck area (I have broad shoulders).
This new dress is the Lileeze fabric - slightly stretchy, lightweight, machine washable! The band around the middle is super stretchy. This is a nice change in a sea of straight-fitting shifts - it could be more forgiving for people who are a little bigger on the bottom half. I took my normal size in this, but you could potentially size down depending on how it fits you.
This lace maxi was absolutely gorgeous in person! It would be an amazing rehearsal dinner or more casual wedding dress for any future bride! I tried on my normal size. It was fitted in the shoulders/bust area, and a little looser below that. One thing to note is the length. This picture shows how long it is on a person who is 5'7, without any shoes. Taller ladies - this one might actually be long enough for you!
This Arie Stretch Shift Dress is a nice classic option for someone who likes shifts, but isn't crazy about sleeveless dresses. This is definitely a more fitted cut, though the fabric has some stretch. My normal size was fairly form fitting, so stick with your normal size and it'll be form fitting, while a size up will be a bit looser.
This dress is a beautiful shade of Tiffany Blue! The cut is forgiving, and the zipper down the front can be adjusted based on the wearer's comfort. Lots of people size down in this dress, but I stayed with my normal size for more room through the shoulders.
Galia Fleece Wrap ($138) and Buttercup Stretch Shorts in Pink Tropics ($64)
I absolutely loved this fleece wrap! It's definitely on the more casual size - it's the same material as fleece sweatshirts. I took my normal size in this. The price might seem steep for a basic, casual fleece wrap, but this would definitely be a staple piece to throw on when it's cold out. I had grabbed these shorts to try on with the Shiloh swimsuit above, but they looked really cute with this wrap too!
Now that you've read Part 1, here's Part 2! Don't forget to check out my previous post with some older try ons!
